“Coming out and living openly aren’t something you do once, or even for one year. It’s a journey that we make every single day of our lives. Every coming out experience is unique and must be navigated in the way most comfortable for the individual. Whether it's for the first time ever or the first time today, coming out can be an arduous journey.
It is also a brave decision to live openly and authentically."

-Human Rights Campaign

The Pride Center aims to provide a secure, supportive, and accepting environment for students across all gender and sexual identities including those that identify as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer (LGBTQ+), and their allies. The Pride Center is a safe space designed to bring awareness of diverse sexual and gender identities, healthy masculinity, affirmative consent, and upstanding to prevent violence. We strive to recognize the complexities of intersectionality and encourage the exploration of both privilege and oppression across coexisting identities. Although the Pride Center welcomes people across all gender and sexual identities, it is above all a safe space for students that identify as LGBTQ+ and their allies. Ultimately, the Pride Center aims to create and promote a culture of acceptance.
