Spring student surveys are conducted as classroom surveys. Survey packets are distributed to randomly selected credit and noncredit classes. (Before 2009, classes were not sampled randomly; instead, all classes meeting during a particular time in the morning and all classes meeting during a particular time in the evening were sampled.) Surveys are conducted after spring break. Responses to credit surveys are weighted to account for the oversampling of full-time students, who are more likely to be included in the survey sample because they are enrolled in more classes than part-time students.
